Well hello there!
My name is Bianca Vargas, and I’m a New York City native. My family is rooted in Dominican, German and Hungarian heritage, and I am here to share my take on traditions and more with you all.
I was lucky enough to grow up in a home of many cultures, with dinners ranging from Mangú to Schnitzel, and always being surrounded by art no matter which room stepped into. Even our family outings often involved food, like traveling to far away markets for the one-of-a-kind ingredients. It was hard to ignore the inspiration that came from every corner. And just like that, I was drawn to cooking and creating at an early age.
I pride myself on being present with the company I am in and the spaces I step into. With this blog, I hope to inspire you to curate a home you fall more in love with every day, along with the moments you spend inside of it. Together, we’ll create layer by layer and bring worlds of food together into our kitchens onto one plate. I am so happy you stopped by and I can’t wait for us to get started.
A pinch more about me -
Why the name Pinch & Drizzle? Well, sometimes, all it takes is a pinch of this and a drizzle of that to transform an entire dish or space. Everyone has a passion for food, I just want to help spark it.
If you’re going to follow my recipes, you should have nutmeg and shallots on back stock, since I am proudly obsessed with them. Other ingredients I can’t live without include: Oregano and sardines. I start my days, and often finish my dinners, with a “tacita” of good espresso.
I have a master’s degree in Labor Studies and, by day, I work in Human Resources. I have 2 siblings; my brother is a Captain in the Army and my sister is a writer and healthcare worker. We’re each one year apart! I dedicate this page to my lovie Raify, my siblings, and most importantly, my mom, the most incredible cook in the world. I hope I can share more about me through the moments we’ll share together at home!
